Children’s Classes

We run Greek language classes every Friday during term time. These cater for children from 6-16 and are held in the church classroom.

Father George has this to say about our school, “It goes without saying that children are our future and unless we pass on our language and culture, it will die out in the United Kingdom. We simply cannot allow this travesty to happen, so I urge you all to send your children, grandchildren, cousins and friends to our wonderful Greek school where not only will children learn our beautiful language, but will also be introduced to our unrivalled Greek culture & traditions.”

Father George – “please help ensure our language & traditions live on.”

FRIDAY EVENING GREEK SCHOOL

Bring your children to our Church Greek School on Friday evenings – Your church operates a Greek school every Friday evening during term time and the academic year commences on Friday 12th September 2025.

Ethos and Aims

Everything we do in our school is guided by our Greek Orthodox religion, culture and language. We aim to provide an environment, which would encourage every child to discover, learn and appreciate the timeless value of our heritage.

Activities

Our school sessions begin with prayers and explanations of the significance of religious orhistorical events. Most of the time on a typical school day is spent learning the Greek language, although time is also spent on religious themes, cultural and historical events, and traditional and modern Greek dancing.

Pupils, Teachers and Academic Standards

Our pupils range from age 6 to 16, and we have excellent teachers at all levels up to GCSE.

Our pupils have always achieved excellent results at GCSE.

Registration for the academic year 2025/26 – Classes will commence on Friday 12th September 2025. Registration on 12th will commence at 5:30pm.
