Greek Orthodox Qualifications
The Cambridge Institute of Greek Orthodox Studies offer a certificate and diploma course for anybody that wishes to gain a deeper understanding of the Greek Orthodox religion.
They also offer a free taster programme called ‘The Way’ which is an outreach programme that consists of a series of twelve video lectures given by eminent theologists. Topics are listed below.

- Living the Faith: (4) Christian Behaviour
- “Heaven on Earth”: Members of the Church and Citizens of Heaven

The Way is a good introduction to perhaps studying for the certificate or diploma, with both courses following a pattern of six modules to be studied over an academic year from October to July. The diploma is designed for students who have already achieved the certificate and are ready for a more academic qualification. Click on the images below for details
The next intake of classes is October 2025 with a new module every two months. Although the course is online, it is designed to have a classroom feel with students studying the same modules at the same time and being able to interact with one another and the learned tutors.

Online Bible Studies
There are a number of online bible studies that can be found of varying quality. We would however recommend an archive of several books of the Old & New Testament that are delivered by the former priest of St Nicholas Church of Warren, Ohio in the United States.
Studies are in English and Bible Books studied include Genesis, Exodus, St Matthew, St John, Hebrews & Revelations. They are delivered by the charismatic Father Kenneth Bachofsky and offer informative and entertaining classes. Access Genesis Chapter One by clicking the image below.
The classes follow the Orthodox Study Bible which is an excellent source of information as not only does it have the complete Books but also gives a thorough explanation of the religious meaning behind key chapters & verses. The true meaning is often not quite as obvious as it may seem of course. Click on the image below for information about purchasing it.
